Hard Truth: Screen Time
Support
Email help@greezholdings.com with any question, bug, or number you think is wrong.
If something isn't working, tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version and what you were doing when it happened. The app has no accounts and sends us nothing, so we can't see your numbers or settings unless you tell us.
Common questions
Where do I find my screen time number?
On your iPhone, open Settings, then Screen Time, then See All App & Website Activity. Tap Week at the top and use the Daily Average. A week's average is more honest than a single day.
Type that number into Hard Truth, or take a screenshot of the screen and scan it in the app.
Why doesn't the app read Screen Time automatically?
Reading Screen Time directly is coming in an update. For now, type your daily average in, or take a screenshot of the Week view in Screen Time and pick it in the app. The app reads the screenshot on your iPhone and never uploads or keeps it.
Scanning only works with Screen Time in English for now. In other languages, type the number in.
How is the math done?
Total hours are your daily screen time × 365.25 days × the number of years, 20 by default. So 4 hours a day for 20 years is 29,220 hours.
Results are always rounded down, never up, and every truth shows its basis and its source. The full method is in how the math works.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, tap the gear button on the Truth tab to open Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Erase everything. That deletes your numbers, your path and your check-ins, and it can't be undone.
Deleting the app also deletes all of its data, including what its widgets show. Nothing is stored anywhere else, so there's no copy on our side to delete.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything runs on your iPhone, so it works with no connection, including in airplane mode. Only things outside the app need a connection, like opening a truth's source website or posting a share card.
